Google Commercial!

Been on the road for the past week with director John X. Carey shooting a couple of commercials for google with agency Mullen. We've been shooting in Indiana and Virginia and our locations have been beautiful! We have been using some of my recently purchased vintage lenses. We have been using the Zeiss Jena 75mm, 50mm Takumar smc, and many more secrete weapons!

Autumn Leaves Short film

Finished a short in Brooklyn and Manhattan a week before Hurricane Sandy hit, directed by Ryan R Browne and Nick Ciffone. We shot this on two Epics with the new Cooke Panchros. It's going to be a really nice short.

Commercial Shot with my Cooke S2s lenses

I just shot a commercial with some Cooke S2 lenses with director Samuel Gonzales Jr.! I'm pretty happy with the lenses! They are sharp with a nice low con, smooth look.

This is one of the spots I shot for Ford back in July. We shot in 5 cities in 10 days all over the country and also in Canada. Check it out!

Here's a link to a music video I shot on the Red Scarlet with director Noah Mucci. The whole thing was lit with 4 mirrors outside the windows.

Nissan Truck spot in Phoenix

Just shot another viral spot for Nissan and Chiat Day with director Ryan R. Browne. We were rocking a Red Epic and Scarlet camera with some of my old lenses. Shot with the Helios 40 lens and the MIR-1 Grandprix lens. Here's a few frame grabs.

Drained the film on IO9!

The film "Drained" I shot last year, directed by Nick Peterson and Produced by John Heder is finally out and is on the iO9 site! I shot this on the Canon 7D in the still mode at 8FPS with high powered photo strobes. Check it out!

New Music Video!

NISSAN Z PHOTO SHOOT

I'm in Phoenix Arizona for the next 4 days shooting a spot for Nissan with Chiat Day. Yesterday, director Ryan Browne and I set up this shot of all the Nissan Zs ever made at sunset,. I found this shot with a 24mm Canon L and a Canon 5D MK3.

Shot an awesome music video yesterday with director Samuel Gonzales Jr. Produced by Mathew Rolston! Shot on Alexa with Kowa anamorphics, mostly on steadicam with a few hours with this amazing camera car jib!

FORD COMMERCIAL!

Last month I went on the road to Canada, San Francisco, and Illinois for a Ford Campaign. We shot for about 8 days and did 5 commercials. Here's a link to the first commercial to start off the campaign. I was principle cinematographer on 4 out of the 5 but on this one I was 2nd unit DP. I shot everything except Mike Rowe but I can't complain it was a sweet job!!!

Just went to Crandon Wisconsin to follow a truck race with Chad Hord. Shot with the Red. We had access on the track in between races with a golf cart so I had to make sure to run the track in the golf cart! Here are some shots.

Vintage Lens update

Just got my 11th Vintage lens! Now I have a beautiful set of Russian, French, and Japanese vintage lenses.

Amazing Bokeh!

Here's a shot of some very unique bokeh from my vintage 100mm. I can't wait to use this!!!Who wants to be the first to use it with me?!

Pay close attention to the the group of lights in the middle. See the mini halo around each light bokeh blob? With a lot of mini lights this lens will be quite a fun beautiful lens to use!!!

Nissan Commercial shot in Indianapolis

I just spent the last weekend following a driver for Nissan, with Agency Chiat Day. Director Ryan Browne and I went to Indiana with our Red Epic and Scarlet and followed a driver named 

Bryan Heitkotter , he was the winner of the GT Academy last year which means he was the top video game player for a game called "Gran Tourismo". First place of the competition was to become a real race car driver. It was a pretty awesome weekend. Here are a couple of stills from the race.
