Bali

Went to Bali for a couple of weeks. I think it's my new  favorite place. The people are so nice and photogenic.  Here are some shots I took with my Pentax 67 medium format film camera.

Mocap dome

Recently I shot a 4day commercial and on one of the days we got to shoot in a MoCap studio. We shot in this amazing 360 degree led light dome.This dome is meant to capture a 3D render of a person or object but instead we just programed the LED lights to go nuts and put on an expensive light show! Here's a shot of the dome with my amazing gaffer!

Perfect Roast Potatoes

Last month I had the privilege of shooting a 30min short film starring Titus Burgess, Catherine Tate, and Johnathan Cake. Shot with director Nick Frew. We shot this film on Alexa Mini with Kowa Anamorphics. The acting in this was so amazing. I'm really looking forward to this one! Here are some shots I took of the cast in between setups with my medium format film camera.

Just shot a small spot for Nike in Cleveland a few days ago.   Two Alexa Minis two hours to shoot! 1 to 1 ratio!

Feature Documentary

Just wrapped a 3 week feature Doc on the group Above and Beyond. We followed their tour and set and covered everything. During the 3 weeks we had the opportunity to film at some unique places. Here are some of my medium format shots I took in between setups of the band. These are real people from the locations that allowed me to shoot their portraits. Shot on my Pentax 67 medium format film camera!

Asahi in Hawaii!

Last week I spend 7 days in Oahu Hawaii shooting a Japanese commercial for Asahi beer! Nothing beats working in Paradise! We shot on Alexa Mini with Cooke S4s. Here's a shot of a sea turtle I took while surfing on the North Shore!

Temper Trap Music Video

A few weeks ago I shot a Temper Trap music video with Director Will Kindrick from Radical media. We shot the whole thing on the Ronin gimbal with Lumia Lomo super speeds.  Great locations and great concept! Really looking forward to this video! Here's a screengrab.

Ojai,CA

A few weeks ago I spent 5 days shooting a great little documentary with Director Tyler Manson up in Ojai,CA! We we shot the whole thing on Alexa Mini with Kowa Anamorphics and we also flew the camera on a Ronin Gimbal. Man from death Short!

This is a short I shot for the awesome Stephen Reedy just released and got Staff Picked on Vimeo!  I think this film turned out so great! As far as Cinematography it's not my best but it was a blast shooting some action and fight choreography!

Kuwait in 2035 Commercial

A few months back I shot this in Kuwait. I experimented a lot of putting glass in front of the lens. Shot this on Epic Dragon with Zeiss Ultra Primes.

Commercial shot with Anamorphics!

Just spent the last week working on a commercial with awesome director Henry Lu with Moxie Pictures. We shot on the Alexa Mini with the new anamorphic 4:3 upgrade with the Hawk V lite anamorphics. I love those lenses! They are a great balance of sharpness and beautiful distortion. Here's a screen grab of the a lens out of focus to show off the fancy Bokeh!!!

Propel

Last week I had the great opportunity to shoot a commercial spot for Propel Water. I shot with the director duo "The Wills", production company gentleman Scholar. It was a blast. I had a lot of fun toys to play with! We used Leica Summiluxes, A 170mm Briese Light, and a few large HMIs! Here's a few screengrabs!
